WINNIPEG – Manitoba RCMP took to Twitter with a stark reminder for drivers to slow down in construction zones.

The Tweet indicated Mounties caught 29 people speeding in a construction zone on Highway 1 near Highway 26. Police said most of the drivers had no idea the speed limit was only 70 /kmh.

RCMP also reminded drivers, the use of radar detectors in Manitoba is illegal, and they have equipment that detects your detector.
