MORDEN – Morden RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred yesterday on Highway 30, one kilometre north of Altona.

Police have determined that a car, driven by a 21-year-old man from Winkler, was leaving a rural driveway and turning onto Highway 30, when he was struck on the driver’s side by a northbound minivan, driven by a 35-year-old female.

The male driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female driver of the minivan suffered minor injuries.

Drugs, alcohol, and speed are not suspected as factors in the collision.

Morden RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
