MANITOBA – A house fire in Shamattawa First Nation that sent three people to hospital is being investigated by RCMP.
On January 21st, before midnight RCMP said they were called to a house fire on Bear Avenue. When officers arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames. Three occupants had managed to get out of the residence. An 88-year-old female, a 44-year-old male and a 63-year-old male, were all taken to the nursing station and then to hospital, where they currently remain.
At this time, the fire does not appear to be suspicious, but the RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, continue to investigate.
