THOMPSON, MB. – The Thompson RCMP executed multiple search warrants and and with the help of Police Service Dog Egan, seized over 23 ounces of cocaine.
RCMP said in a news release, that on December 22, a search warrant was executed at a home on Yale Avenue, in Thompson Manitoba.
Police Service Dog Egan, working with other officers, found approximately 22.5 ounces of cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia within the home.
Kevin Rutherford, a 33-year-old male from Thompson, was arrested at the home and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
A second warrant was executed by RCMP on December 21, at homes on Princeton Drive and Waterloo Crescent, both in Thompson.
At the Princeton Drive home, RCMP found and seized one ounce of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a collapsible baton. Collin Burnett, a 25-year-old male from Thompson, has been charged with Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking.
At the Waterloo Crescent home, RCMP seized approximately .3 ounces of cocaine as well as a large quantity of money. Multiple charges are pending against a 38-year-old male from Thompson.
