SHOAL LAKE – RCMP in Shoal Lake are warning people of a telephone scam in the community after receiving several reports.

Police say their office phone number appears on the call display. The caller states “we have your husband in custody and he needs money for lawyer”.

Mounties remind the public they doe not solicit funds over phone. If you receive a call, please call your local RCMP detachment.
