WINNIPEG – The south Perimeter Highway on the Red River Bridge will be closed for repair work in the westbound lanes starting Sunday December 16th. The lane has already been closed since November after an inspection found cracking in the bridge deck concrete.

The lane is expected to be closed until repairs are complete on January 4, 2019.

Traffic will be detoured to a single lane in each direction in the eastbound lanes while repairs to westbound lanes are undertaken. On Dec. 21 and 22, pilot vehicles will be used to slow traffic for approximately 24 hours for pouring concrete and curing operations.
