WINNIPEG – The city’s ninth homicide took place on Salter Street last night and the Winnipeg Police are looking for any information from people who were in the area to help with the investigation.

A man in his thirties was assaulted around Salter Street and Selkirk Avenue just before 2:40 am. and managed to travel a short distance south on Salter before paramedics and police arrived.

He was transferred to the hospital in critical condition and died a short time later.
