WINNIPEG, MB – A Sawed-Off shotgun and bullets were discovered Saturday while police were executing a search warrant on Alfred Avenue with help from the Tactical Team and K-9 Unit.

Police said in a news release, as a result of the warrant the following items were seized:

• A loaded sawed-off 12 gauge Winchester shotgun
• Additional 12 gauge shotgun shells

George Alan Guimond, a 38-year-old man has been charged with Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm and Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.

A 15-year-old male was also arrested and charged with Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Fail to Comply with Sentence and Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2.
