UPDATE at 1:10 PM – Police have confirmed a man has died from injuries from a single vehicle accident this morning.
The lone male occupant of the vehicle was found dead at the scene.
The investigation has revealed the vehicle was travelling westbound on Notre Dame Avenue when it struck the Nygard building and caught fire.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.

UPDATE at 10:05 AM – The accident that caused Notre Dame to be closed sent one person to hospital in critical condition this morning.
Reports say the vehicle crashed into Nygard’s corporate office early Friday morning, around 5:40 AM.
Police report the crash happened at Notre Dame Avenue between Spruce Street and Weston Street.
Notre Dame in both directions remains closed until further notice, according to police
