Shooting in Thompson Sends One to Hospital

THOMPSON – A shooting in Thompson sent one man to hospital.

RCMP said Friday at approximately 2:30 am they responded to a report of an injured man in the parking lot of a hotel on Thompson Drive in the community.

When Mounties arrived they located a man that had been shot. The man, 30-years-old from Lake Manitoba First Nation was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The RCMP believe that this was an isolated incident and that public safety is not at risk.
