WINNIPEG – Starting this weekend, stores can stay open later on Sundays and holidays.

Manitoba finance minister Scott Fielding says his government wants to give businesses the flexibility to allow for more pickup and delivery options and also more in-person shopping time to minimize crowds.

He hopes the new legislation which was rushed into law will help business people generate extra revenue heading into the holiday season.
