Suspects Arrested for River Heights Crime Spree

WINNIPEG – River Heights can breath a little easier, as police have arrested two men regarding a string of property crimes in the area dating back to August.

The crimes range include stolen mail, and garage and shed break-ins.

The suspects tried to sell some of the stolen property on December 14th, however police were contacted when serial numbers from the stolen property were matched. They were finally apprehended while they were attempting to steal another package from a home on Wilton Avenue.

23 year-old Jacob Alexander Barsalou and 25 year-old Nathaniel Leigh Chepesky have been charged with possession of a weapon, theft under $5,000 and 12 counts of possession of property obtained by a crime.
