Taylor Joins Manitoba Post Team

WINNIPEG, MB – Kevin Klein, Publisher and CEO, is pleased to announce that veteran reporter/columnist/commentator Scott Taylor has joined the Manitoba Post team as director of sports content.

Taylor is the president of Game On Manitoba Inc. and has been the editor and co-publisher of Game On, Manitoba’s Hockey Magazine since it was founded by Taylor and Dale Hughesman in 2011.

He is also the senior sports columnist for www.gamedaygold.com in Minneapolis, hockey reporter for Minnesota Score Magazine, senior columnist for Senior Scope Magazine and managing editor of Canadian Meat Business Magazine. He is a regular contributor to the Eric Nelson Show at 8-3-0-WCCO in Minneapolis, a regular contributor to the Charles Adler Show on Corus Radio across Canada, a regular contributor to Travis Dunn’s Around the Rink on 740TheFAN in Fargo, N.D. and a regular contributor to the Game Day Gold radio network that can be heard throughout the American upper Midwest. He has covered 11 Olympic Games, 20 Super Bowls, nine World Series and 26 Stanley Cup championship series.

Taylor spent 23 years with the Winnipeg Free Press before becoming a columnist with the now-defunct national edition of The National Post. He was at The Post from 2004 to 2010.

After he leaving the Post, he partnered with Dale Hughesman and Esdale Printing to create the Manitoba Hockey News. After Hughesman’s death, the magazine continued as Game On (2014), and is now the most popular and successful hockey publication in Manitoba.

Taylor has written six books including Quiet Hero, the Ken Ploen Story; The Jones Era, and Winnipeg Jets: A Celebration of Professional Hockey in Winnipeg, published by Studio Publications in Winnipeg; Winnipeg Jets was a national bestseller and was nominated as 2007 Manitoba Book of the Year (non-fiction). It was re-released in its Second and Third Editions and continued to be a national bestseller.

He is a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame’s Media Wall of Honour.
