Traffic Stop Lands Pair of Drug Traffickers in Jail

WINNIPEG – On November 16, 2019, at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Guns & Gangs Unit conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 600 block of Broadway and took the female driver into custody for failing to comply with a court order. A male passenger was also arrested for two outstanding arrest warrants.

A search of the female’s purse resulted in the seizure of approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $1,700). A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a safe that was later found to contain items that include:

– Approximately 589 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $29,450)

– 27 Xanax pills (estimated street value of $135)

– 27 Ritalin pills (estimated street value of $135)

– Approximately 2 grams of cocaine (estimated street value of $160).

– Approximately $241 in cash

– Drug packaging

– Scales

40 year-old Lisa Mischelle Strykiwsky has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Alprazolam

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Ritalin

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x5)

– Drive without licence or with invalid licence (Highway Traffic Act)

39 year-old Lawrence Herve Chevrefils has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Alprazolam

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Ritalin

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was also processed on two outstanding arrest warrants.

They were detained in custody.
