Traffic Stop Results in Multiple Drug/Firearm Charges

A traffic stop in the Blake Gardens area on September 5 resulted in multiple charges against four individuals.

Police stopped a rental car that had a broken window and a search of the vehicle revealed an improvised firing device (zip gun) that had been adapted to fire centerfire ammunition.

A search of one of the occupants (Spence) resulted in the seizure of:

– Approximately 30 gram of methamphetamine (estimated street value of approx. $3,000)

– Approximately $490 in Canadian currency

Orrin Lawrence Spence, a 28-years old Winnipeg, has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

– Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)

– Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

– Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime

– Possession of a Weapon

He was also processed on the strength of an outstanding Canada-wide warrant for:

– Suspension of Parole

Dana Morley McIvor, a 32-years old of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

– Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime

– Possession of a Weapon

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Abby Gail Angelique Richard, a 27-years old of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

– Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)

– Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

– Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime

– Possession of a Weapon

– Possession of an Identity Document (x2)

– Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)

She was also processed on the strength of two outstanding arrest warrants for:

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

– Fail to Attend Court – Recognizance

Shelby Agnes Skye Dick, a 22-years old of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle

– Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime

– Possession of a Weapon

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

They were detained in custody.
