Two Arrested for Murder of Darlus McKay

WINNIPEG – Police have arrested two men in connection to the death of 19 year-old Darlus Dary Darrien McKay, who was killed on October 7.

Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and identified two male suspects who were known to the victim. It is believed that the two suspects were involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, which escalated to the victim being shot.

37 year-old Derek Donald Franklin has been charged with Manslaughter, while 26 year-old Christopher Dakota Murdock faces second-degree murder charges as well as two counts of possession of a firearm.

Both were detained in custody.
