It took a while but Uber has announced it’s finally coming to Winnipeg.

The ride sharing company is busy signing up drivers and hopes to be doing business here by the end of spring. Uber didn’t like MPI’s insurance structure but coverage will be topped up by buying additional private insurance.

Uber joins ReRyde, TappCar and other ride sharing apps already in the local market.
