UPDATE – Charges in Collision at Goulet and Traverse

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg police have reported that the driver of the vehicle has been charged in connection with this collision.

Police said the driver of the car, a 23-year-old male of Winnipeg, who was taken to hospital in critical condition has since been upgraded to stable condition and has been charged with:

  • Driving While Ability Impaired
  • Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample – Blood
  • Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle

WINNIPEG, MB – Three people were injured in an early morning collision at Goulet Street and Traverse Avenue involving a transit bus and a car.

Police said the driver of the car was taken to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the city bus and a passenger in the car were taken to hospital in stable condition.

In a release, police said an investigation has revealed the transit bus had the right-of-way and was travelling westbound on Goulet Street when it was struck by the northbound car.

Police believe alcohol is a factor at this time.
