In the spirit of remembrance, the Assiniboine Park Zoo is pleased to recognize all veterans, military personnel and their immediate families by offering them free admission on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11. To receive free admission, tickets must be purchased at the Zoo entrance and identification is required.
“This is a great opportunity for us to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country,” said Grant Furniss, Senior Director of Animal Care and Conservation at Assiniboine Park Zoo. “We are so grateful to the men and women who sacrifice so much so that we can enjoy our freedoms. This is our way of saying thank you.”
Assiniboine Park Zoo also participates in the Canadian Forces Appreciation Program. Veterans, military personnel and their families receive 10% off regular Zoo admission and memberships throughout the entire year in recognition of their sacrifices and dedication.
