VISITATION SHELTERS COMING

WINNIPEG – The province has announced a plan to build all-season shelters at personal care homes so residents can safely visit with loved ones.

Health minister Cameron Friesen says his government will ask for feedback on conceptual designs in the near future.

“Despite advances in technology that have allowed for virtual visits, this pandemic has taught us that nothing can replicate a face-to-face visit,” Friesen said. “Today’s announcement shows that once again Manitobans are innovative, resilient and kind-hearted.”
