WINNIPEG – WE Charity is shutting down its Canadian operations.

In a statement, it blames COVID-19 for the decision but it also mentions the political fallout over a now dead federal contract to help students find jobs.

The opposition parties say this just brings the scandal back to the forefront as parliament gets ready for a throne speech from the Trudeau government later this month.

WE has had rough year with massive layoffs, a new board of directors and now this.
