WINNIPEG, MB – Today is Louis Riel Day and there are many things to do across the province to celebrate the holiday, but what’s open and what’s closed?
Here’s a rundown of what’s open and what’s closed today in Winnipeg.
You can go shopping as the malls (St. Vital, Kildonan Place, Polo Park, Garden City) are open today between 11 AM and 6 PM, Grant Park doesn’t open until noon today.
Manitoba Liquor Marts are open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. however, the location in Cityplace is closed today.
All City of Winnipeg offices are closed today as are public libraries, animal services, and leisure centres.
Transit will operate on the Sunday schedule. Garbage and recycling will be on their normal schedule.
You can go swimming at the Pan Am Pool from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or visit the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex which is open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Recycling and garbage will be collected as normally scheduled, but Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.
