Winnipeg Art Gallery is Open During the Holiday’s

Arts

WINNIPEG, MB. – Looking for things to keep to do in Winnipeg over the Holiday’s? The Winnipeg Art Gallery would get you in out of the cold. Spend time viewing the amazing art, make crafts, or watch the best commercials of the year (my favourite).

On display is INSURGENCE/RESURGENCE, a groundbreaking exhibition focused on leading and emerging Indigenous artists from across Canada who are pushing boundaries with their work.

Whether you are into Inuit art, contemporary sculpture, or the Group of Seven, you’ll enjoy nine galleries filled with diverse artwork sure to spark conversation or that perfect holiday selfie! For current exhibitions, visit wag.ca/art.

You can spend some creative time together at Family Fusion days, at the DIY drop-in arts and crafts event, 1-3pm. $20 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 18), or $10 per family for WAG members.

January 3 • Paint a Winter Landscape • Get out the paints and dream up a snowy winter wonderland.

January 4 • Perfect Prints • Visit us at WAG Studio and learn some print techniques!

The Gallery is open Tuesday–Sunday, 11am-5pm and Friday, 11am-9pm. The Gallery closes December 24 at 2pm and remains closed on December 25. Regular hours apply to December 26 and January 1 (11am-5pm).
