WINNIPEG, MB – RCMP in Powerview said a 33 year old from Winnipeg died today in a fatal snowmobile collision.

Yesterday at around 11:00 am, the Powerview RCMP responded to a snowmobile collision on Snoman Trail #220, approximately 45 kilometres north of Broadlands Road in the RM of Alexander.

A 33-year-old man, from Winnipeg, was travelling on the Snoman trail when it appears he lost control of his snowmobile and veered off the trail colliding with a tree. He was pronounced dead on scene.

Police did confirm he was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
