WINNIPEG – A 54-year-old Winnipeg man is facing numerous child pornography charges.

Police say on April 19th the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation regarding child sexual abuse imagery being uploaded to an IP address in Winnipeg.

On June 25th police executed a search warrant at an address in the Riverview area. What police call an “electronic device” displaying child sexual abuse images was located and seized.

Kirby James Rae, a 54-year-old man from Winnipeg has been charged with:

• Imports, Distributes, Sells, or Possess the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography
• Possession of Child Pornography

He is currently being detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
