WINNIPEG – Police have arrested a 32 year old man in Winnipeg after a string of grocery store robberies where large amounts of meat were taken.
Investigators say more than two dozen chain grocery stores were hit.
In many of the incidents, the suspect is accused of assaulting security guards and store employees, threatening them with bear spray or a knife.
No one was hurt but the financial loss to the various retailers is estimated at over $10,000.
