Winnipeg Murder Suspect Caught in Edmonton

WINNIPEG, MB. – A Winnipeg murder suspect was caught and arrested in Edmonton, Alberta.

On July 27, 2017, at approximately 7:45 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a residence in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue for a report of an injured male.

On July 27th of this year a 29-year-old male and a 31-year-old female who had been stabbed. Both were transported to hospital in critical condition. The female was upgraded to stable condition; however, the male died from his injuries.

It was later in the year, November 24, Winnipeg Police asked for the public’s help in locating Edmond Chartrand, 29-years-old, of Winnipeg.

Chartrand, was located and arrested in Edmonton, with the assistance of the Edmonton Police Service. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Attempt Murder.
