WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Police executed a search warrant that resulted in three people being arrested and a number of weapons and drugs seized.
Police said the warrant was for a home in the 500 block of Cathedral Avenue. Officers with the Street Crime Unit and the Tactical Team removed eight people from the home and seized the following items:
- SKS assault rifle with 60 round magazine
- Bolt-action 30-06 rifle
- Bolt-action 25-06 rifle
- Money counting machine
- $560 Canadian Currency
- Methamphetamine $300 street value
- Percocet, $900 street value
- Xanax pills
- Working Scales
- Packaging materials
- Case of 3.08 ammunition
As a result, the following people were arrested and charged:
Ashley Louie Richard, 43-years-old, of Winnipeg was charged with:
- CDSA 5.2 x 3 – Methamphetamine, Percocet, & Xanax
- Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possess Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 6
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possess Firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered
- Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x 2
- Fail to Comply Probation x 3
- Warrant of Arrest x 2
- Drive Prohibited
Geraldine Faye Richard, 44-years-old, of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Possess Proper Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x 2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
- Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
- Possess Firearm knowing Serial Number has been Tampered
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 3
- Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 3
A 31-year-old female from Winnipeg was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants of arrest.
