Winnipeg Robbery Spree Ends at 5

WINNIPEG, MB. – Winnipeg police arrest 29-year-old Zachary Leonard Gordon Brown of Winnipeg for multiple robberies.

It all started yesterday at around 1:40 a.m. when police were called to a robbery at a gas station on Henderson Hwy. No one was injured but the suspect fled with cash. Officers, the Tactical Support Team and Air 1 responded.

Later that morning, at around 4:30 a.m., police were called to another robbery. this time of a female store clerk at another gas station on Henderson Hwy. Again, no one was hurt but cash was stolen.

Another robbery was reported at 7:50 a.m. at a convenience store in the 1000 block of McGregor St. and again the thief got away with cash.

At 11:15 a.m. there was an attempted robbery at a gas station on Salter St. however, nothing was taken. Minutes later, a fifth robbery was reported, this one at a convenience store alsonon Salter St. The suspect did take money and then fled.

Police said later in the day that a vehicle used by the suspect in the robberies was located in on Barber Ave.

Brown has been charged with Robbery X3, Armed Robbery X2 and Disguise with Intent and detained in custody.
