Winnipeg Student to Compete for “Best Brain” in Canada

WINNIPEG – A lone Winnipeg student will compete for “Best Brain” in Canada this Saturday in Ontario.

Saturday, May 26th, Muhammad Hayat from Vincent Massey in Winnipeg will participate in the 11th annual CIHR Canadian National Brain Bee championship at McMaster University in Hamilton.

The contest is modelled after a traditional spelling bee, this national competition will test some of Canada’s brightest young minds on the human brain, neuroanatomy and patient diagnosis.

After claiming first place at the regional Brain Bee, Muhammad will compete against 14 other regional winners from across the country for a chance to win the ultimate grand prize: $1,500 cash, an opportunity to represent Canada at the International Brain Bee competition this summer in Berlin, Germany, and the title of “Best Brain” in Canada!
