HYDRO BLOCKADES COME DOWN

WINNIPEG – Construction at the Keeyask Generating Station will resume. An agreement has been reached between Manitoba Hydro and the First Nations it’s partnered with on the northern project. Blockades were set up to keep new workers out. The chiefs said they were worried about the spread of CoVid-19.

TOO MANY TRAFFIC FATALITIES

WINNIPEG – More than two dozen people have died on Manitoba highways and roads this year. 28 to be exact, so far in 2020. RCMP say that number is too high. The average is about 18. The Mounties say that most of the deadly crashes involve high speeds and impaired and distracted driving.
